Cumulative Effects Assessment Management Framework for Northeast British Columbia

Description: In 1998, an environmental fund was established by the British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission (BCOCG) to support research projects that addressed environmental effects associated with oil and gas development. Three research areas considered were: air emissions, cumulative effects, and ecosystem health and integrity. AXYS Environmental Consulting Ltd., Diversified Environmental Services, and Salmo Consulting Inc. proposed to develop a Cumulative Effects Assessment and Management Framework (CEAMF) for northeast BC, including the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area. This CEAMF Final Report describes a practical approach, specific to northeast BC, for assessing and managing project-specific and regional cumulative effects.
