Description: Many First Nations communities in British Columbia are affected by natural gas development and are faced with the compromise of environmental stewardship for a share in the economic benefits from the projects. The BC government recognizes a need for new tools that will create a positive legacy for First Nations, BC and the environment. Four Directions Management Services Ltd. was hired by the BC Ministry of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation (MARR) in 2014 to lead Phase 2 of an independent and neutral facilitation and engagement process with First Nations, BC, Industry and federal representatives to develop the LNG ESI.
