Cumulative Effects Monitoring Initiative (CEMI)

Description: Since September 2015, the North Coast-Skeena First Nations Stewardship Society and Gitga’at, Gitxaala, Kitselas, Kitsumkalum, Metlakatla, and Lax Kw’alaams First Nations have been working with Environment Canada and Climate Change (ECCC) on the Cumulative Effects Monitoring Initiative (CEMI) for the Prince Rupert area. The CEMI is a collaborative process to support the identification of First Nations values and interests for the development of a cumulative effects monitoring pilot project proposal.
